You don't need a brand new bag

At RETRO//VRS we believe in consuming less, smarter, and not hopping on the latest trends that go out of style in the blink of an eye. Fashion is fleeting, but its environmental impact is anything but. We need to slow down in our consumption of new items. Our marketplace is filled with second-hand bags that already have a story, and with your help, still have a long life ahead. Read more about the environmental impact of fashion here.

No fast-fashion

Fast-fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world. RETRO//VRS marketplace does not accept items that are considered fast fashion. We currently accept high-end luxury items and in the future we plan to accept medium-priced items, provided they are of good quality and do not fit under the fast fashion category.

RETRO//VRS is built on the Polygon blockchain, which uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism that is far less energy-intensive than the Proof of Work (PoW) mechanism used by the Bitcoin blockchain. See more information about carbon ratings of blockchains here.
